Shanice Britton shared her story about how she is just a teenager doing teenage things but then again she is Indian. According to the passage it says," We live in houses with electricity and running water. I take showers, watch Finding carter on MTV, and wear jeans, just like any other teens". She also grew up in a Round Valley Indian reservation in Covelo, California. I think the part of her to share her story like this is that everyone is the same person and no one should be treated the way they don't want to. Even though she is Indian she does what every other person does and what other people wear too.

Would we be killed assessment
American Indians were marginalized because the indian kids were taken away from their families and the white people made them look different from when they were with their own families. According to paragraph five in the magazine it says, "White people have been bringing harm to Ota Kte's people for longer than Ota Kte had been alive". That must mean the white people have been treating them bad for a while and they never did anything about it and it was still happening longer too. They were also marginalized because the white people made the indians put on white people clothes and make them do stuff they do also. According to the magazine it says, " It was not Pratt's plan to simply educate these children and teach them english. He also planned to civilize them to strip them of their traditions and ways of life".

4th quarter blog #2
I finished reading my book and has a lot of themes and life messages in it also and it talks about how he tries to overcome his disadvantage. I think the guy in the book is a strong kid because he focuses on him and doesn't care what people say about him. I think people should read this book because it will inspire people and don't let other people get in your way. I liked this book because it involved basketball and a kid who didn't know what he was doing and he progressed into a really great athlete even though he has a disadvantage. In chapter 4 was my favorite chapter because that is when the kid learned more about stuff and he wanted to be on his own to learn new things and he did and people started to cheer for him instead of making front of him and more people were on his side.
Some memory moments in the book in the book are in chapter 2 when the author wanted the readers to remember something from the beginning of the book and it was a memory of what happened when the kid was first born and what disadvantage he had. Another one in the book is when the book ended and he brought back more memories of when the kid was born and it was sad because people didn't treat him right. When he is in school people make front of him for being different from other people. This is one of the books that I liked to read and I was in to the book also.

Blog #1 4th Quarter
The book I am reading has a lot of inspiration in it because the character gives lots of hope to people that have disadvantages. The book is really entertaining for me because it is about basketball and what he does to try to get better at the sport. He really wants to get better and be the best he can be on his team and he wanted to prove that he can get better and impress his school. This book reminds me of a movie I watched that this kid had a bad disadvantage and he tried to overcome it by being the best person he could be.
I have some tough questions about this book like how did he have this disadvantages because in the book it never said how he got it. The book doesn't give us lots of information about his disadvantage but I think this book is fiction. Another question I have is why do people treat him different from other people? I think they do it because he is different and has a disadvantage.

Tolerance- the ability or willingness to allow the existence, occurrence, or practice of something, in particular the existence of opinions or behavior that one does not necessarily agree with.
I first thought tolerance meant is when you are fed up with some thing and it really is frustrating and you get tired of it. There are different meanings but the one I said is when I think of the word tolerance and that is what happens to me sometimes when something really bothers me and I just get tired of it and just give up. I can be more tolerant with others by giving them a chance and get to know them more and try to understand them. Tolerance first meant to me by being the one who gets mad easily and has no patient in other people. I can live a more tolerant life by being understanding to other people and try to know more people. I once had intolerance occur to me when I was at home and my dog didn't wanna come in and I just left her out and waited 10 minutes and she wanted to come in. I will now know another definition about tolerance and what it means.

Blog #4
I am almost done reading the book " Drug Dangers" and it is a nonfiction book on how drugs can effect your life and how you can prevent from addiction. A couple of ways to prevent from drug abuse is to exercise, try to get out more because on page 48 it say's that lonely, depressed, hoarders, and people who don't get out much are the most likely people to be doing drugs every single day. This shows that people are really addicted to drugs enough to do it every single day and can't stop doing it. In chapter it also says that once you are addicted to drugs it is very hard to stop doing them. People could get habits, start going crazy, and some people could even commute suicide because they don't have no more drugs.
I have some questions on this book because I see lot's of people on the streets smoking cigartes which I read about is bad for you because it could effect your lungs and could get lung cancer. I understand this book fully and would like to read another book on drug dangers because they have specific details on what there talking about. This book is not hard to read at all and I would like to do RElly good project on it.

Blog #3 Drug Dangers
A lot of people do drugs and I'm reading a book called "Drug Dangers" and it tell a lot about how drugs are bad for you and how you can get in serious trouble by doing them. There are serious consequences if you get caught like getting arrested for a long time. People do drugs because if they are depressed, single, just for fun, and try to forget stuff. There are a 95% chance you will get caught at least once with drugs or doing them because the police now have dogs that can sniff out the drugs and also the police can test you for drugs. Most drugs are illegal in the some states of the US thats why people do it without other people knowing.
Drugs can be used for medication only if you have a doctors permission and if you really need it. Most drugs come from different countries or you can plant them in the ground but both are really hard to do. There is only one or two drugs allowed in the US like tobacco, Marijuana only in some states and for medication. Drugs can have a big impact on your life because you can get addicted to them really fast and not stop doing them until you get in serious trouble or if you get caught. All drugs should be illegal in all countries because they can kill you, make you weak, or get you in serious trouble.

The 39 Clues Blog
I am in chapter four in the book called " The 39 Clues The Maze of Bones" and so far all I know is that Grace Cahill family is the most powerful family in history. The book starts off very emontional in the beginning because grace is laying down and suddenly dies in her death bed. Grace had a lot of friends and family before she died. There are a lot of characters in this book and one is Dan Snider, William macantyre and that's all the characters form chapter one to four. So far I like the book because I could imagine stuff that is really happening in my head. It has lots of imagery and imagination also but it has some hard words I don't understand. I really want to read the whole series about it and see what happens later on in the series.
Some memory moments in the book that the author asks are really very interesting because it happens earlier in the book and it comes up again in later in the book and makes it kinda different from before because they change the memory up. This book has a lot of memory moments especially in the beginning because she is laying on her death bed and thinking. These help me think about the ending because I wonder if this is all just a dream or if this is really happening to her. It also helps me think about the theme because there are a lot of questions I have to ask because I think there are lots of themes for this book so far.
