I read the book "Personal effects" and it gets interesting when Matt finds out his brother is dead when he fought in the war in the beginning of the book and it gets way better in the rest of the book because of its drama and action. I have some connections to this book because I watch movies that some guys are in the war and they lose their family and this kinda reminds me of world war 2 because it's a war and Matt lost his brother and a lot of people lost their family in world war II. This book has a lot of interesting parts but some aren't that good because it gets boring sometimes. I would recommend this book to 8th and high schoolers because it's kinda hard to understand sometimes.
The rising action in this book are when Matt finds out his brother dies in the war and he has to be tough and get through his life without him. The plot in this book is when matt try's to figure out what happened and he get's caught when he does figure it out and his dad get's mad at him for not keeping a promise. The conclusion is when Matt learns a lesson and try's to get out of trouble and learns a lesson not to know because now he is in very deep trouble. Matt is my favorite character in this because I have connections to him and he is a lier about trying to get out of trouble just like me.
