Blog #5

This is my second time writing about "The Devils Arithmetic" and it got more interesting in the book because it tells the readers more about what people went through during World War 2.  Hannah is the main character and she went through a lot when she got taken by the Nazis with her family. When she gets taken away her and her family meet a lot of new interesting people who want to help them. This book reminds me off when I went to the holocaust museum because I saw a lot of people getting killed by the gas chambers, getting shot but also some made it out of the war and there are still survivors today that actually want to tell what happened to them and that must be hard. I would refer to read this book because it can remind you of the war and and what happened to the people and what they been through.

The conflict in this book is Man vs self because Hannah has to be tough and try to get free and get away from the Nazis with her family and her friends that she met when she got there. Another conflict in this book is Man vs Man because she fights with her friend because she doesn't want to leave a family member behind to die by the Nazis. The book has a lot of conflicts but I think those are the main two because it tells what Hannah is going throughout the book.
